The country of origin of the Alvarinho is Portugal. The shoot tips are stongly woolen, and the leaf is small and three tiered. The grapes are small to medium sized and pyramid-shaped. They are very compact.The berries hev a thick skin, are small, round and their colour is yellowish green. This kind is suitable for rather damp positions. The wine of this sort is dry, fresh, fruitful, lightly aromatic, sumptuously structured, lightly perl like and acid-stressed.
